Candidate Statement
With the recent overwhelming changes to the undergraduate student experience and ongoing sense of unpredictability, there is a stronger need than ever for passionate proactive leadership in our community. It is my intention to fulfill this role by listening to and amplifying your voices regarding injustices and concerns. Not only will I advocate for undergraduate students as a community regardless of background, but I will work to foster meaningful connections to empower minorities and the populace alike. My extensive background in life science and entrepreneurship has prepared me to be a diligent, empathetic, and progressive student representative for our community.

Mental Health Initiatives
This doesn't really need explaining; change is needed immediately. In addition to Navi and current resources, I request transparency and empathy from U of T. Trauma informed teaching and considerate practices are needed for everyone's well-being.

Accessible Resources
You're not the only one that's tired of booking writing center help 3 months in advance. With a large student population, the way to ensure equal access to resources like the Success Centre and Academic Advising is to have more availability and hours throughout the year.

Lower Tuition & Fees
Auxiliary fees have continued to rise without equivalent increases in facility use or additional external sources. With the tuition and living fees we already pay, there shouldn't be extra cost for using our own school facilities.

Better Facilities
First, let's get some desks in those classrooms (ConHall please). Then, how about windows and better lighting for your library study sessions? This also includes full-blown renovations like the one Robarts is undergoing to improve your student experience!

More Scholarships
Awards and scholarships shouldn't just be for 4.0 students. Let's vouch for more opportunities so that students with all kinds of backgrounds can apply. More than monetary value, awards/scholarships/ grants give students motivation and encouragement that is always greatly appreciated at a competitive school like ours.
